Nathaniel Receives Award at AMTA Conference

At the American Music Therapists Association’s (AMTA) annual conference in San Diego this past November 2009, Nathaniel received the organization’s coveted “Songs from the Heart” award for exemplifying the power of music. Nathaniel was humbled by the reception he received by nearly 1,500 attendees who demonstrated great respect for him.  In the company of musicians and students, seeking music therapy as a career, Nathaniel played several instruments in impromptu sessions that lasted well into the wee hours of the morning. AMTA intends to play an integral role in NAAF’s artists in residence program and in other initiatives.
