Cleveland Cavaliers Honor Nathaniel Ayers in Black Heritage Celebration
The Cleveland Cavaliers flew Nathaniel in from LA to be honored at halftime of the nationally televised game against the Orlando Magic, and it was phenomenal. As phenomenal as that he made the trip. It’s been at least 25 years since he flew on an airplane. He walked the red carpet to center court at halftime while the announcer read his bio. At center court, he was presented with a framed Cavs jersey with his name on it.
Nathaniel was very pleased with the ceremony as evidenced by his willing acceptance of the rousing applause and his happily accommodating the many interview requests that followed in the press area.
What a major step for Mr. Ayers. He is already asking when will his next trip take place.
